I think it is simply amazing that you can make your own beer at home. Now, I am not talking about just any beer. I am talking about very good beer. Beer that you will not only like drinking yourself, but beer that you will be proud to serve your friends. I had always bought beer from the stores and assumed that only good beer could be made by those companies that specialized in that sort of thing. Now, I know that some people play around with making home made wine. Which isn’t all bad. But, when a friend mentioned that there a was a great Home Brew Kit for making beer and they had heard that it was good. I decided to give it a try. So I bought a Home Brew Kit, just to try it.
The Home Brew Kit was not expensive at all. Everything that I needed was included in the kit, and the instructions were easy to follow. I had the choice of three types of beer, lager, bitter, and stout. So I tried the stout first and After three weeks of fermenting and chilling, I have great tasting beer.
The process is very simple, and it starts by simply boiling some water, to which certain ingredients are added. The ingredients are included with the Home Brew Kit, so there is no need to go looking about in the stores to find what you need. The Home Brew kit includes a large container that is called the fermenter. When you have boiled your water and other ingredients, you pour the solution into the fermenter, which has a plastic hose attached and a mechanism that allows the carbon dioxide to escape. Carbon dioxide will build during the fermentation process and the chemical interaction that takes place.
When the solution has fermented for the number of days specified in the instructions you will allow the solution which is now beer to drain to the bottling container which has a spigot at the bottom that allows you to bottle the beer. After you have capped the bottles place them in a dark area to age for approximately fourteen days.
Then the only thing left to do is chill the beer for several hours, and then the fun really begins.
